Never running out of surprises to elevate its spectrum, Yamaha Motor Philippines put on CODE:REV Rise of the Sport Machine booth to stand out at the recently-concluded Makina Motoshow, last weekend, April 14 to 16, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Anchored around beauty, innovative technology, and pure performance, the exhibit aimed to ignite the rider’s spirit with the re-introduction of the prestige Ténéré models.
Limitless in nature, the Super Ténéré embodied Yamaha’s Dakar-bred toughness and reliability with its light and easy handling, and an advanced rider assist technology which allows riders to explore any adventure without restrictions.
First registered in 2021, Yamaha reinvented the high-torque 689cc 2-cylinder vehicle creating two brand-new colorways featured in the motoshow: the Icon Blue and the Tech Camo.
From its original function, the Ténéré 700 strikes a balance in between power and control to fuel long-distance rides on any condition such as dirt or asphalt, which is seen evidently on the booth design.
Alongside the Ténéré are the Dark Side of Japan, MT-10 SP and MT-07; the Faster Sons, XSR900 and XSR700, the RWorld series, YZF-R1M and RZF-R7, and Tracer 9 GT from Roads of Life.
A fusion of active and elegant, Mio Gravis now sports Y-connect, Stop & Start system, and hazard switch. It also comes in three colorways namely matter brown, matte black, and dark petrol to accentuate any lifestyle.
While these are designed in-house of Yamaha PH, the custom built bikes designed by Filipino artists were also given the limelight during the show.
Adrian Reyes Jacinto, Jed Patrick Oriña, and Seiko Serrano bannered the brand with their own versions of custom Yamaha XSR 155 as official entries to the Motobuilds Pilipinas competition.
For these artists, it’s the best way to create a connection between their passion for art and love for motorcycles.
“Sobrang laking bagay para sakin ‘to kasi buong Pilipinas ‘to,” Oriña told DiscoverMNL.
Jacinto continued: “Napakalaking opportunity kasi nagkaroon kami ng unit at naipakita pa naming ang skills naming through this.”
“It’s a meaningful opportunity, nagkaroon ng way ipakita ang creativity,” Serrano added.
Continuously innovating to provide better bikes for every Filipino, the Sports Machines exhibit is only the beginning for the ever-growing Yamaha Motor Philippines.
