We know how much you love milk tea, but what if we tell you there’s a bar in Burgos Park, Taguig where you can enjoy Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea with Scotch whisky?
One of the reasons why we’re so thrilled to go out this summer is the newly opened Johnnie Highball Bar in Burgos Park, Taguig. We think it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends who love great food, great music, and even greater drinks.
If you’re not too familiar with what a highball is, don’t worry. We got your back. A highball is a drink made of whiskey and a mixer, like soda or ginger ale. It’s usually served in a tall glass with lots of ice. It’s one of the easiest (if not the easiest) cocktails to make at home, especially if you love experimenting with flavors. Whether you’re a whisky aficionado or a scotch neophyte, the Johnnie Highball Bar has something for you.
These days, mixers can go beyond soda and ginger ale. At the Johnnie Highball Bar, you can try their signature concoctions like the Johnnie & Lime, Johnnie & Ginger, and Johnnie & Apple. There are highball serves for every flavor profile from fresh, fruity and smoky and packs just the right amount of award-winning whisky to ensure a fun night.
Apart from their signature serves, there are also newly launched must-try highballs at this year’s pop-up. Diageo Brand Ambassador Rian Asiddao and Diageo Reserve World Class Philippine Bartender of the Year 2017 Lester Ligon crafted new limited edition highballs exclusively available at the Johnnie Highball Bar:
the Johnnie Citrus Smash honors the classic sweet-and-sour combo with some fresh mint, a splash of lime, and a hint of smokiness from Johnnie Walker Black Label combined with simple syrup and lemon-lime soda — perfect for this summer heat;
the Johnnie Rootbeer Float is topped with whipped cream and a cherry — a timeless favorite with a grown-up twist, thanks to Johnnie Walker Black Label;
and the must-try Johnnie Brown Sugar Boba, which combines the smooth flavors of Johnnie Walker Black Label with earthy Earl Grey tea, fresh milk, brown sugar syrup, and (of course) chewy boba pearls — undoubtedly every millennial’s dream come true.
Aside from trying the various signature drinks at the Johnnie Highball Bar, guests can also enjoy interactive events every weekend of May from the sickest beats to the yummiest burger combos.
Visit the Johnnie Highball Bar at Burgos Park along Forbestown Road in Bonifacio Global City until May 28, 2022. The bar is open daily from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. for fully vaccinated guests of legal drinking age (18 years old and above).
