12,500 Runners Take Over Makati for the 2026 Lactacyd Women’s Run PH

MAKATI CITY, Philippines — Ayala Triangle Gardens came alive early last Sunday, October 25 as 12,500 registered runners took part in the 2026 Lactacyd Women’s Run PH Makati Leg, kicking off the nationwide series with a celebration of women’s health, wellness, confidence, and empowerment.

Held to celebrate women empowerment, the sold-out event brought together runners of different ages and backgrounds for the 1KM Kids Dash, 5KM, and 10KM categories. Friends, families, and running communities filled the venue with energy and encouragement, celebrating not only the miles completed but also the strength, determination, and personal journeys of every participant.

Adding to the excitement, the top 100 finishers in both the 5KM and 10KM categories received flowers in recognition of their achievements from gentlemen of our partner run club, highlighting the importance of supportive communities in women empowerment.

Beyond the race course, participants continued the celebration at the race village. As the event’s Official Title Sponsor, Lactacyd created an experience centered on self-care as an important part of women’s overall well-being, encouraging runners to listen to and care for their bodies, celebrate what makes them feel confident, and embrace their best from within.

The appearance of Lactacyd’s beloved Lactobunny also added a playful touch to the festivities, with participants enjoying special meet-and-greet and photo opportunities.

The event also recognized empowering performances across the different race categories, Maricar Camacho topped the 10KM race with a time of 41:27, followed by Mea Gey Ninura (43:23) and Jennelyn Isibido (43:24). Meanwhile, Jo Punay (21:18) claimed the 5KM title, finishing ahead of Pauline Kaye Escuro (22:53) and Maria Jonna Liza Abutas (23:54). Running clubs and company delegations were also acknowledged for bringing their communities together and showing their support for the event.

The Makati race represents a new milestone in the partnership between Lactacyd and Women’s Run PH. After coming together for a single race in 2025, the partnership enters its second year on a bigger scale, expanding into a nationwide series that will bring the celebration of women’s health, self-care, confidence, and community to more Filipinas across the country.

“With this nationwide partnership with Women’s Run PH, we really want to show Lactacyd’s commitment to women’s health, self-care, and confidence,“ said Jamie Superable-Martin, Brand Manager for Lactacyd, Opella Healthcare Philippines. “Through Lactacyd, we hope to encourage more women to prioritize their well-being and embrace their best selves from within.”

Under the campaign “Your Best From Within,” the collaboration goes beyond the race course by encouraging women to make self-care part of their everyday lives and find confidence in their own personal journeys.

Following the successful first leg, the Lactacyd Women’s Run PH Series heads to Davao on January 17, 2027, and Iloilo in July 2027, continuing to bring women together through running and community.

“Through our partnership with Lactacyd, we bring Women’s Run PH to different cities and continue to empower more women across the country to encourage them to take care of themselves, celebrate their strength, and discover their best from within,” said Nicole Dela Cruz, Founder and CEO of Women’s Run PH.

For those who missed the Makati leg, registration remains open for the upcoming races and the Lactacyd Women’s Run PH Virtual Run Bundle, which gives participants the opportunity to join the series from wherever they are and complete the entire series collection.
