10:15 AM | Arrival at Dumaguete – Sibulan Airport | |
10:55 AM | Check-in at The Flying Fish Hostel | Super convenient location! It’s only 10 minutes away from the Airport. Aside from its very IG-worthy interiors, they offer very affordable dormitory rooms for groups and even have private rooms for single/double occupancy. |
12:30 PM | Lunch at Nom by Flying Fish | If you don’t eat meat, they offer delicious vegan options like the Jackfruit Adobo Burger Patty and Veggie Lasagna. |
2:00 PM | Silliman University Tour | Allot at least 1 hour for this. Don’t forget to try Bossing’s Tempura inside the campus and go for the level 5 sauce if you’re feeling daring! |
4:00 PM | St. Catherine’s Cathedral and Belfry Tower | If you’re also visiting from September 20-29, you can go back at night and see the Bell Tower light up in different colors. This only happens during the Sandurot Festival. |
5:00 PM | Rizal Boulevard | Take a relaxing walk and have a food trip. |
6:00 PM | Coffee and dessert at Sans Rival Cakes & Pastries | Dessert Heaven! Silvanas is a must! |
7:00 PM | Back at the Flying Fish Hostel | |
7:30 PM | Dinner at Nom by Flying Fish | Loved the Asian Glaze Chicken Wings, Braised Beef with Fried Canton, Mediterranean Lasagne and Pork Lumpia! |

6:15 AM | Leave The Flying Fish Hostel | Don’t forget to bring your packed breakfast so you can eat it later at the boat. (Should be requested a day before) |
7:45 AM | Arrival at Kanibon Port | |
8:45 AM | Dolphin Watching at Bais | Prepare to be amazed by these cute and energetic creatures as they chase your boat around. |
10:30 AM | Manjuyod Island | Time to slather that sunscreen and take a cool dip! |
11:30 AM | Island Lunch c/o Bangkero | You can also buy Fresh Buko, sea urchin, oysters, scallops and squid from boatmen in the area and they will also happily cook it for you. |
3:30 PM | Manjuyod Sandbar Experience | Take note that low tide schedule differs everyday. Ask The Flying Fish Hostel front desk first for the low tide forecast before going to Manjuyod. |
4:00 PM | Leave Manjuyod | |
4:20 PM | Arrival at Kanibon Port | |
5:00 PM | Nene’s Halo-Halo, Bais, Negros Oriental | You can choose mango, vanilla or ube ice cream to top your Halo-halo. Yum! |
7:00 PM | Back at The Flying Fish Hostel | |
7:30 PM | Dinner at Nom by Flying Fish | They have acoustic nights on Fridays and Saturdays, perfect for that chill night. Try a bottle or 2 of their local craft beers. |

6:30 AM | Breakfast at the “Painitan” Dumaguete City Public Market | Try out the various kinds of Budbod sa Tanjay, Puto Maya and their rich yummy tsokolate. |

9:00 AM | Snorkeling and Swim with the Turtles at Apo Island | Enjoy swimming with these gentle creatures and even take a few selfies, just keep in mind not to touch them. 😉 |
10:45 AM | Trek to Rock Point View deck aka Apo Island Viewing Deck | The trek takes around 20 minutes to reach the view deck’s spectacular view. Take lots of photos and make sure you have your water with you. |
12:30 PM | Lunch at the island | There are lots of local and homecooked food options available in Apo Island. Choose whichever fits your cravings for the day. Mostly are homecooked meals from homestays and residents around the area. Some offer unli-rice meals too! |
1:30 PM | Leave Apo Island | Time to say goodbye to the pawikans! |
3:00 PM | Subida Souvenirs | Get your wallets ready because it’s impossible not to leave Subida without buying at least 1 item. Everything is sooooo nice! |
5:00 PM | Stroll by Rizal Boulevard | Spot and take photos by the iconic #DumaGetMe sign and try the famous tempurahan! |
7:30 PM | Back at The Flying Fish Hostel | |
8:00 PM | Dinner at Nom by Flying Fish | For this round we tried the Nasi Goreng Rice, Grilled Belly Pork and Charcoal Grilled Chicken. Yum! |

7:00 AM | Check-out from The Flying Fish Hostel | You can leave your luggage at the front desk and come back for it after the tour. Also, in case you’re planning on visiting Cebu soon, they just opened the Flying Fish Hostel Cebu! |
9:00 AM | Travel to Liptong Woodland, Bacong, Negros Oriental | Meet the extraordinary Tatay Eti and his towering native trees that are mostly endangered. |
10:00 AM | Ligiron Experience at Liptong Woodland | A unique and thrilling Dumaguete Exclusive experience that both kids and adults will enjoy! Get in touch with Happy Juanderer Travel Inc., for booking assistance. |
2:00 PM | Late lunch at Neva’s Pizza, Valencia | Easy to spot on the way back, so make sure to try their sought-after brick oven pizzas! Comes in Kuripot (cheaper ones) and regular versions. The two variations differ in cheeses. |
3:00 PM | Pick-up luggage and freshen up at The Flying Fish Hostel | If you’ve already checked out, you can rent towels at P50.00 to take a quick shower before heading to the airport. |
