Heads up, carnivores and steak connoisseurs! Singapore’s popular homegrown casual steakhouse – Astons Specialities – has finally opened its doors in Trinoma, Quezon City, last February 25. The grand opening was made more special by the attendance of both Astons Specialities teams from Singapore and the Philippines.

This is the western-inspired restaurant’s second branch in the country, having found home in SM Megamall just in May 2022 – an impressive feat, considering how it’s only been less than a year since. Thankfully, they’re addressing the customer demand for more by bringing their mouthwatering dishes closer to us north peeps.

The restaurant feels and looks as though you stepped into the Wild, Wild West. We absolutely love the deep-toned brick walls and rustic features with modern, industrial accents. We don’t know about you, but in our book, ambience plays a huge part in the dining experience, and we think Astons local team were super spot-on in their vision.

Their main menu is made up of steak, chicken, pork, seafood, and pasta meals. The portions are known to be generous, with main courses often serviced with two decadent side dishes of your choice.

Obviously, it’s the juicy, cooked-to-perfection steaks that make them a legend. They know their meats well and masterfully charbroil them to every customer’s preferred doneness.

As for the side dishes, you get to choose from a wide array of cold and hot plates. Mashed potato is an easy choice, but the onion rings and coleslaw pair well with the meats, too.

The best part, though, is their relatively affordable menu considering the ace quality of everything they serve. In fact, their steaks range just from Php1,099 to Php1,899. And if you’re quite familiar with Manila’s dining scene where steaks can easily set you back tens of thousands of pesos, those prices give quite the value for you money.

Apart from the meats, the Grillworks Chicken part of their menu are also must-tries. They have super combo meals, as well, that would be perfect for happy eaters who love sampling everything.

The restaurant’s humble beginnings came from Aston Soon’s dream to bring quality Western dishes to the masses at prices that won’t burn holes through their pockets. So in 2005, he left his job as a restaurant chef and ventured into his own place along East Coast Road. Needless to say, hungry customers began flocking the then newly-opened steakhouse for the quality of its meats and other dishes – and the rest was history.

Here in the country, Astons also saw huge success, as evident from their rapid growth. We Filipinos love our meats and practically anything cooked on a grill. But we have taste, too, and we know a good restaurant when we see one. We’re excited to see where Astons Specialities opens up next – hopefully, soon.

Astons Specialities is now open at the Garden Wing Area Upper Ground Floor, Trinoma Mall, Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City. For more information, visit them at https://astons.com.ph/ or on their socials at https://www.facebook.com/astonsph and @astonsphilippines on Instagram.
