No engine is left unthrottled as Yamaha Motor Philippines introduces its freshest face to the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team as part of its 2025 laundry list of things to look forward to.

Over the weekend, the YPRT showcased its racing machines and reintroduced its roster for several thrilling events in the moto racing scene this year through a launch event and track day at the Carmona Racing Circuit in Cavite last March 8, 2025.

Not just displayed, but in action, were Yamaha’s sleek and stylish lineup of high-performance racing motorcycles. The YZF-R6, a true track machine, is known for its aggressive design and exceptional handling. The YZF-R3 is Yamaha’s entry-level supersport machine. The Sniper 155 is the brand’s popular street and racing scooter. The Sniper 155 boasts a 155cc single-cylinder engine with Yamaha’s VVA system, enhancing torque and fuel efficiency. The Yamaha Aerox, a sporty 155cc AT, provides quick acceleration and high-speed cornering capabilities. Its versatility makes it a great option for both street riding and track days.

A showcase of talent was also evident as several members performed highlights during the open-door track day.

Mainstays Mckinely Kyle Paz and April King Mascardo also officially welcomed their third and newest member, EJ Sobretodo, who expressed his utmost gratitude and determination for what lies ahead.

“Lahat ng paghihirap ko, pag-gising ng 4:30 AM para magsimula magtrabaho, I’m super happy. Sulit lahat kasi andito na ako. Pero simula pa lang to, ngayon gusto ko na maipakita ‘yung talent ko,” Sobretodo said.

Sobretodo also revealed that supporters and aficionados can expect him to add aggressiveness on top of his fortitude.

“Goal ng Yamaha Philippines Racing Team ay mag-overall champion, kaya magiging aggressive and fighter talaga ko kasi gusto kong manalo. Gagawin ko lahat,” he continued.

Shedding light on inspiring the future generation of racing athletes, Sobretodo, though just getting started, motivated the younger aspirants with wise words about the grind.

“Ako, di naman expected na dadating ako sa ganto. So, pag nagta-training kayo, mag-training lang kayo nang mag-training, tuloy lang sa pag-give ng best, mararating mo din ang gusto mong marating,” he added.

Deeply rooted in its plea to ‘Create Champions,’ Yamaha Motor Philippines takes pride in providing a platform that transforms lives for the love of the game. More than just ‘Changing the Race,’ the brand aims to cultivate quality talent that will have longevity in the industry.
