Bag O’ Shrimps anchored itself in Manila in 2014 only with the passionate captaining of couple-owners, Jandrew & Princess Pastoril, who after spending time in Los Angeles, strongly felt that they could not pass the chance to bring a taste of the West back to their Philippine home, an archipelago bursting with seafood potential. After a ton of tedious research, endless taste-testing – and a couple pounds after, Princess was able to perfect the recipe of her sauce (which is now known as Bag O Momma flavor) and the led to the opening of their “Wharf-in-the-City” seafood-shack to the local community.
Their menu mainly features the rich flavors of the sea, all freshly prepared and can be enjoyed in bold spice-mixes, recipes and add-ons – best eaten with your hands!
To make your own seafood bags, here are the steps to follow:
- Step 1: Choose your seafood – shrimps, clams, mussels or crabs
- Step 2: Choose your sauce – Lemon Pepper, Cajun, Garlic Butter or the signature Bag O Momma flavor
- Step 3: Choose your spiciness level – Mild, Medium, Hot, Very Hot
- Step 4: Choose an add on – Sausage (local or imported), Corn, Rice
You can also get pre-made seafood sets like their bestseller, Big Poppa (includes clams, shrimps & mussels) or their newest item, Crawfish (with free sausage and corn) in both Bag O’ Momma flavor.
They might be operating with a limited workforce for now but at Bag O’ Shrimps, pandemic or not, there is only one thing to expect – a deliciously messy good time!
Bag O Shrimps is currently open for dine-in, take out, delivery and pickup on ALL their branches. Check out their website or head on to their Instagram for inquiries.
