The Coffee Academics source only the top 5% of special Arabica coffee. These are grown in special and ideal climates and are distinctive because of their full cup taste and little to no defects. The unique flavors and tastes are a result of the special characteristics and composition of the environment and soils in which they are produced.

Genuine Specialty Coffee

TCA test, QA, and purchase green beans, after which they roast and pack these in their roasteries. They treat beans from individual farms differently, with distinct roasting profiles, to assure the consumers and clients enjoy fresh and true specialty coffee. As a result, The Coffee Academics ranked #1 in Specialty Coffee in Hong Kong in 2017.

Sustainable Coffee Beans

TCA source green beans from over 50 farms and around the globe, they direct trade with multiple farms, allowing for a fair price for the farmers and their families. In addition, TCA cooperate with several NGOs that are linked to the farms they work with. In Brazil TCA support the “Women In Coffee” program, in Honduras, the “Youth Empowerment” program and in Yunnan, they work with MediCare to support the Lisu minority from where they purchase beans. 100% of their sourced beans are certified Rainforest Alliance and/or Fair-trade beans.

Roasting

The Coffee Academics Roastery produces several tons of roasted coffee beans every month, to supply our retail stores and growing office brew bars and kiosks.

They have an arsenal of sustainable, stable, and reliable coffee roasting machinery for all of TCA production use. With over 30 different single-origin coffee beans sourced for blending or customs blending services. The Coffee Academics has the largest collection thus far as a coffee house in Hong Kong.

Philippines

TCA will be opening soon in Manila! The first will be a kiosk in High Street South Corporate Plaza, Tower One, 26th Street, Bonifacio Global City on September 7. The second branch is a full-scale cafe in 109 C. Palanca Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City opening in October.
