The city of Naga in the province of Camarines Sur are part of the Bicol Region. Found in the southern part of Luzon, it is a land of culture, business, history and tourism. Diverse in their offering, this part of town boasts of many natural wonders that can cater to anyone and everyone. Filled with warmth true to their hospitable nature, Bicolanos here are proud of their heritage, food and destinations.

Less than an hour’s flight from Manila via Cebu Pacific Air, DiscoverMNL met with the friendly people from Visit CamSur for an exciting packed 4D3N engagement of the sights and sounds that awaits us in this province.

DAY 1 ACTIVITY NOTES
7:30AM Landed at Naga Airport
8:00AM Arrival at CWC Wake Park Located in the provincial capitol complex Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex is a world class facility for wakeboarding, wakeskating and waterskiing
11:30AM Arrival at Calabanga Mangrove Plantation A community and local government initiative to create a barrier against tidal waves, rehabilitate and improve marine life in the barangay of Calabanga
2:30PM Arrival at Ocampo Deer Farm Feel free to mix and mingle with reindeers as they roam around freely in this huge patch of land located at the foot of Mt. Isarog
4:30PM Consocep tour, Abaca Making and Bike Trail Learn the intricate process of abaca extraction straight from the source followed by scenic 11km downward bike trail that will showcase the beauty that is Consocep.
6:30PM Dinner at CWC Perfect time to try their very popular Laing Pizza, Bicol Express and other local dishes they have to offer

DAY 2 ACTIVITY NOTES
6:00AM Breakfast at CWC Classic Pinoy breakfast of tapa, bacon, eggs and sinangag done right by our friends at CWC.
10:45AM Arrival at Aguirangan Island Off Maangas port, bask in white sand and see Mayon Volcano from a distance as you swim in clear waters under clear skies.
4:30PM River trail/Sunset Viewing at Penafrancia bridge Chill after a long day on top of a bridge overlooking the horizon as the sun sets.
7:30PM Dinner at CWC Round two of their Laing Pizza, their take on binagoongan and other scrumptious food! Perfect way to end the day.

DAY 3 ACTIVITY NOTES
7:30AM Breakfast at CWC Last meal overlooking the massive wakepark. We ate par-side cozied in one of their large huts.
11:30AM Arrival at Naga City and lunch at Bob Marlin’s An icon in Naga — this rasta-inspired restaurant boasts of Filipino dishes with the Bicolandia twist. Their crispy pata is a must try together with dinuguan, pancit and assorted grilled delicacies.
1:00PM Walking around Naga Public Market Immerse in local culture, smell and flavors as you walk in the alleys of their public market. See assorted products of this region perfect for pasalubong. Dried fish, pili nut products and locally woven bags and mats.
1:30PM House of Pili tour Get to know the humble beginnings of a couple who almost had nothing and turned their fortune around through hard work and entrepreneurial savvy.
3:00PM Merienda at Aling Cely’s Kinalasan Have a go with this brothy mixture of noodles, meat and special sauce. Patronized by local, so it is a sure hit for all visitors.
3:30PM Check-in at Avenue Plaza Hotel Cozy rooms with amazing amenities. Perfect location for travelers as it is near establishments and local markets.
6:00PM Walking around Plaza Rizal An intimate crowd gathering in the plaza. Have your fill of street food and share stories with friends as the illuminated quadrangle provides the best backdrop.
7:30PM Dinner at Bigg’s Diner and Que Pasa Local favorites and a must go-to food destination. Biggs Diner and Que Pasa lets you taste the flavors that adored Naga people and made these restaurants a local success.

DAY 4 ACTIVITY NOTES
6:00AM Breakfast at Avenue Plaza Hotel Delicious breakfast buffet in their comfy loungey coffee shop.
8:30AM Drive to Naga airport for flight back to MNL There are currently only morning flights heading out of Naga.

8:00AM Inarihan Farm – Carolina, Naga City Level up your OOTD and experience this nature preserve that resembles Korea’s iconic Nami Island.
11:00AM Peñafrancia Shrine This church was formerly the home of the image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, before the Peñafrancia Basilica was constructed.
12:00NN Lunch at Don Rodolfo’s Cafe An insta-worthy café. Must try: Philly Cheese Rice,  Sisig pasta, Tuna carbonara , Don Rodolfo’s Burger and Sriracha Mayo wings
2:30PM Naga Metropolitan Cathedral A stunning must-visit church. It’s Romanesque style and baroque architecture will surely captivate you.
3:00PM Naga City People’s Mall AKA “An Mall Kan Masa(the mall of the people). Score good local finds and deals here.
4:00PM The Peñafrancia Minor Basilica One of the largest Marian Pilgrimage sites in Asia.
