Brings home the bronze for Achievement in Growth and Branded Content Campaign of the Year
With Filipinos winning awards and being recognized internationally left and right, PH Global Jet Express Inc. (J&T Express Philippines), as the country’s trailblazing e-commerce courier and logistics provider, also gives honor to the country by being named the winner of two bronze Stevie® Awards for Achievement in Growth and Branded Content Campaign of the Year categories in the recent 18th Annual International Business Awards®.
J&T Express was able to win from over 3,700 nominations from varying industries and organizations— public and private, for-profit, and non-profit— besting other entries from all over the world in the premier business awards program spanning 63 nations and territories.
Vice President of J&T Express Philippines Zoe Chi proudly commended the Philippine team for their tireless efforts in serving Filipino customers through deliveries and even expanding J&T Express’ reach to more provinces despite the peak of the pandemic last year.
“It is with great honor and pride that J&T Express is recognized for what we have set out to do when we started in the Philippines three years ago. Growing in the middle of the pandemic was not an easy task but we have achieved it by innovating with technology and working together with our partner customers, especially the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs),” Chi said.
In 2020, an estimated 65.9% of the brick-and-mortar businesses temporarily closed due to the lockdown, which then gave way to the rise of 75,000 new online businesses registered under the Department of Trade and Industry.
Aside from creating a logistics platform for MSMEs to express their online business, J&T Express launched the Certified Lokalista advocacy campaign, which won in the Branded Content Campaign of the Year category. The Certified Lokalista campaign provided a venue for regional Filipino entrepreneurs to promote and sell locally made products to more customers while celebrating homegrown talent by featuring videos of inspirational success stories. The campaign also organized an e-commerce webinar to help Filipinos venturing into business in response to the pandemic-driven economic recession.
Judges described it as a creative way to reinforce brand reputation and an excellent way to promote J&T Express’ service while doing something engaging for the local community.
Meanwhile, J&T Express recorded a growth of up to 600 sites nationwide with more branches in the works to achieve its goal of making direct deliveries to almost every province in the Philippines, 365 days a year even on holidays. Instead of employee downsizing during the recession, J&T Express enforced health protocols to provide continuous livelihood for thousands of delivery, warehouse, and office personnel. The company also invested in operational assets to provide better service, ranging from trucks to motorbikes from trusted transport providers.
To grow and support its business network, J&T Express initiated local and global brand partnerships among e-commerce giants in Asia. The company’s capacity to give back to communities also grew with an allocation of over Php10 million for disaster response in 2020. J&T Expres gave free services in transporting relief goods, personal protective equipment, and COVID-19 rapid test kits.
