More the 29 Years of Playing Together and still going strong

Nowadays, it’s rare to see groups and bands that last very long—it may be outgrowing each other musically, a harsh music industry or just having different views in life. Parokya ni Edgar is one of the OPM bands who has dodged those bullets for more than 29 years now. The secret on how they continue to be afloat is their friendship.

The barkada is composed of lead vocalist Chito Miranda, drummer Dindin Moreno, bassist Buwi Meneses, rhythm guitarist Gab Cheekee and lead guitarist Dar Semana. “With us, music is secondary. Barkada lang muna kami so we never outgrow each other. So ‘yun ang tumagal.” says Chito in an interview with Publiko.

You know your friendship is strong when you greet one another with embarrassing and hilarious photos. If you check out their page (@parokyaniedgar), you’ll notice they never skip a year greeting each member with a witty photo.

They never want one person to feel left out

Take a good look at their 2nd Grade class photo! Did you spot something odd? Their drummer Dindin Moreno, who is fully grown here, is edited because he was away during this time. How cute is that?!
