Travel season is finally back! If you’re planning to travel and create more memories this year with your besties, fam or your fave person, what better way to do that than to travel to the beautiful sunny island of Siargao!
First things first, where is Siargao located and what can you do on this island?
Siargao is a tear-drop shaped tropical island surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters, and is almost covered in coconut palm trees, located in the Surigao del Norte province of the Philippines. This is every surfer’s ideal vacation because of its famous surfing spot, Cloud 9, and other beginner-friendly surf beaches, making the island popularly known as “The Surfing Capital of the Philippines”.
There are a lot of things you can do at Siargao, time to take notes!
– Go island hopping and explore Siargao’s 3 iconic islands: Naked Island, Daku Island, Guyam Island
– For adrenaline junkies, go cliff jumping, enjoy the crystal-clear aquatic-blue pools and discover the surrounding rocky coastline of Magpupungko Tidal Pools.
– Surf in Siargao’s Cloud 9, one of the best surf spots in the world – and if it’s your first time trying, don’t worry! There are friendly local instructors to guide you on your first wave. For non-surfers, it is also a good place to watch the sunset and sunrise together with some street food!
– Go rope-swinging, kayaking or swim at the Maasin River
– Ride along the famous Coconut Road and capture natural beauty as you pass by a series of coconut trees
– and lastly, experience the trending “human drone” experience while posing in front of a sea of coconut trees!
