Must-Try: Creamy Caramelly Basque Burnt Cheesecake by @eat.monmonmon!


@eat.monmonmon sprouted from a love for sweets and the abundance of free time at home brought about by the quarantine. As a local traveler by profession, Monica Songco was finally prompted to stay put and whip up delectable Basque Burnt Cheesecakes to share with all of Manila (for now).

The fast-rising fame of this particular type of cheesecake is easily justified by its texture and flavor that deviates from the more familiar NY cheesecake. Originating from Spain, this version is crustless and is purposely burnt for that caramel-flavored exterior and a creamy not-too-fluffy-not-too-dense interior.

Monmonmon currently offers three sizes of the Basque Burnt Cheesecake: a 10-incher, a 7-incher, and a pack of cup-sized cakes, each suitable for different occasions (or non-occasions).
