  • What do you like most about being a bartender?
I started liking bartending through flairing then got curious with the different types of cocktails and spirits. I pushed myself to gain knowledge and get a deeper understanding about bartending. Eventually, I became passionate about this industry and what I like most is that I gained friends and connections. I learn a lot from the different people I meet through experiences and conversations.
  • What’s your favorite cocktail and why?
Margarita! Apart from the fact that my favorite spirit is Tequila, it has a balanced, smooth and citrus taste.
  • What’s your favorite Diageo Spirit and why?
Don Julio Reposado. Don Julio Reposado makes a simple cocktail perfect because of its elegant flavor- smoky vanilla and an inviting aroma that can give a smooth finish to the drink.
  • Which bartender do you look up to the most and why?
Of course, my lodi “Lester Ligon”. I have always admired Kuya Lester because of his fighting spirit. He always inspires aspiring bartenders to push harder.
  • Share with us your favorite memory of being a bartender?
As a bartender, we have lots of funny, embarrassing and annoying experiences in the bar but there is this one guy that I will never forget. Everytime he visits, he would always challenge me and test me on my bar knowledge. In order not to get embarrassed, I started reading and researching more. Thanks to him, I learned and became more confident to start conversations and make more friends.
  • Which is your dream bar to visit?
The Dead Rabbit (NYC), EO (NYC) & Manhattan (SG)
